Livia with Kaya (from 23.08.19):

We have been living here for some time now and yet we have only today discovered this wonderful path.

We have parked in Neuhaus with a shop (park permission for this tour caught up). On Sundays and holidays there are also still parking lots with the Landi Neuhaus.

In order not to have to cross the busy street, we recommend to start via the Aatalweiher.

The nature protected Aabachtobel is a bijoux! We walk along the stream, over bridges (watch out for bars!) and stop again and again to enjoy this wonderful place (good shoes recommended). At the beginning there is a warning sign that the creek bed must not be entered because of reservoir flushing.

Even if not directly in the creek, this ravine is certainly a great place to cool down even in hot temperatures.

After the weir, the path turns right, a few steps up towards St. Gallenkappel, through a beautiful forest.

We cross the gorge and walk along the road towards Echeltschwil. At the farm the trail is marked and we walk back towards Neuhaus.

If you like, you can walk along the trail towards Neuhaus Chastel. However, we decide again for the Aabachtobel and walk back on the same path after crossing the bridge again.

Important:

- Dogs must be kept on a leash.

- Do not leave the paths and/or ride your bike on them

- Special care is required after rain (rockfall) and in wet conditions (danger of slipping)

We wish you as many wonderful moments as we had the pleasure to enjoy!
