Sandra with Mirko and Irwina (from 14.10.21):

After Bargis I always wanted :-). We parked at the PP forest edge after Fidaz, close to the bus stop. By the way, there is a nice barbecue place and you could fill up the dog drink bottles.

At the beginning on a wide path through an enchanting fairytale forest, we quickly reach the turn-off to the Belmont ruin. Here the path becomes narrower. Another short stretch and it goes to the ascent to the ruin.

As the climb has just recently been freshly mown, plus the autumn damp, I am grateful for the safety chains. This climb is narrow and has quite high footholds in places. But the gradiose view into the valley and on the Crestasee is priceless - Hammer!!!

At the top I advise you to secure the dogs, because it goes down vertically at the edge. We are lucky and are all alone here. There is almost a magical silence.

The descent is the same and then we continue towards Bargis, which we reach after about 30 minutes. Here we have the possibility to stop for a break.

But I made an extra round through the valley to enjoy the landscape. And the dogs enjoyed it to use the tow, even a spot of snow. Back to the PP I took the post bus.

Good to know: -> Postbus runs until 24.10.21;-), there are many shady places on the ascent, not suitable for wet ground
