Ricken - Regelstein circular hike

We started on the shady, free parking lot on the Ricken near Bildhaus at the edge of the forest where one could also drive up to the restaurant Egg by car. Bus stop Bildhaus. But we walked to the top. The complete way leads through the pleasantly shady forest. First with a pleasant ascent later, the gradient increases even more, but due to this, we gained a lot of height meters in a relatively short time and the view got more and more beautiful.

The signposting leaves a little bit to be desired, the rule stone is only marked from the Cholertoni on. But if you always choose the ascending path, you will find the right way to the Regelstein.
This path is hardly ever visited, most people go by car to Alp Egg and then walk comfortably from there up to the Regelstein. Once at the top, one can enjoy an incredibly beautiful view. You can see the Säntis, Speer and the Churfirsten and of course many surrounding villages. Now we took the path towards Alp Egg to strengthen ourselves. A wonderful path leads downhill with a beautiful view on the lake of Zurich. Only short stretches lead over the tarred road, the path leads more over beautiful meadows, and through the forest down again to our car. t.
