Romaine with Layos and Fred (February 2019):
In the early morning we started the hike with the cable car from Leukerbad to the Gemmi. The view on the Gemmi is breathtaking and the silence in the mountains just to enjoy. On the Gemmi there are several possibilities to hike with or without snowshoes. There are 3 different routes and on all routes the dog is welcome:

Panorama blue number 718.5 km4h 30min
Lämmernhütte green number 733.5 km2h 10min
We decided on the route "Panorama". This route lives up to its name. After the great hike we enjoyed a late lunch at the Hotel Wildstrubel, which is located directly at the top station of the cable car. Also a small detour to the Daubensee, which can be reached quickly on foot, by sledge or even with a small gondola, is worthwhile. The Gemmi offers a variety of trails and winter sports.
