Effretikon to Pfäffikon ZH

In foggy conditions we started at the railway station in Effretikon. We decided to follow the signposts of the route, where you go right under the station. Through small paths we quickly reached the countryside. One would have here still the possibility to visit the castle ruin Mossburg. Hardly in the forest, we passed the first grill possibility. After we passed the small settlement 2, the sun warmed us up. Via Ilnau we went on towards Fehraltdorf. Height Wildert has it 2 small ponds, with the first also with grill place. Through Fehraltdorf one goes through at the station underpass and walks along the horse racecourse. Also the small airfield appears on the right hand side, where you can stop for a bite to eat directly at the path. We quickly reached Pfäffikon. On the whole distance there are always possibilities to let dogs free. This route can also be easily done with prams. Weather-wise it should not be too warm, because about 2/3 of the walk is hard surface. Only the first part leads through forest. Then we still hung up the way around the Pfäffikersee (without lake approx. 14 km) which is all around leashable. Happy and satisfied we travelled back to our starting point by public transport.
