This day tour along the Aletsch Glacier begins at 2,334 m above sea level, at the Moosfluh mountain station. The "Märjelensee" signposts lead first along the earthy ridge path and then along the stony south side of the Bettmerhorn. Shortly before reaching the intermediate destination, one bypasses the massive foot of the Eggishorn and descends to near the edge of the glacier, where the wonderful water landscape of the Märjela spreads out. A fantastic and highly recommended hut kitchen awaits you in the Glacier Room. Once your strength has been restored, you will head directly towards the upper valley through the 1 km long tunnel, after which you will have a dazzling view of the Goms and its massif. Follow the signposts in the direction of Riederalp, which will make the difference in altitude up to Bettmeralp. After the village, which is well frequented by tourists, the lightly travelled tarred road leads back to Riederalp and its mountain station Riederalp Mitte.
