Oberwald to Münster

We took the train from Brig to Oberwald. With the half-fare card this cost us both together only Fr. 24.00 - so not the otherwise so exaggerated public transport prices. We walked the first stage of the Gommer Höhenweg - from Oberwald to Münster. The path is always very well signposted. It leads from forest roads over hiking trails - always very comfortable and easy to master even for small dogs. Only there are some lattice bridges, but these are very short and stable. Everywhere on the way there are seats with a fantastic view. You can also leave the hiking trail again and again and reach the next village in about 30-40 minutes, so the hike can be shortened or extended as you like. In 2012, the Gommer Höhenweg was the first hiking trail in Switzerland to receive the "Premiumweg" hiking seal of approval from the German Hiking Institute.
