Richterswil-Saturday Huts-Schönenberg

From Richterswil we start our tour today along the Mülibach. Although it is a steady ascent, we enjoy this section in the cool shade of the trees. From the Sternenweiher pond past the Hüttnersee (nature conservation - no access) we walk on wide tarred roads, partly on gravel paths. Up to the huts we walk without shade over beautiful meadows and fields (this section is only recommended early in the morning in summer or in warm temperatures). The view of Lake Zurich and the mountain range in the background is magnificent! As it is now also getting a bit too warm for us, we are looking forward to the section along the river Sihl. Here we enjoy our lunch break and Kaya enjoys the cool water.

Freshly strengthened we tackle the last part to the Teufenbachweiher and then to Schönenberg. From here the path leads back on an open tarred road towards Hüttnersee. So that Kaya does not suffer from sunstroke or heat stroke we have decided to return to Schönenberg (after about 3 hours with a break)via public transport.

On hot days we can warmly recommend the section from Hütten - Teufenbachweiher via Sihl!
