Nathalie with Christian and Indira (from 21.04.2019):

The 1 of 4 stages of the Bernese Jura Trail starts at the station in Moutier (Route 91), where we also parked. The first part leads through residential areas and along the road, then a short ascent begins over pastures that are not yet occupied. Before entering the forest, we take another look back towards Moutier. We follow the signpost Sornetan (partly signposted 91). Before continuing to the Moron, we take a longer break in an open meadow. Strengthened we continue. At the top we enjoy the magnificent view of the alpine panorama. If you want, you can climb the observation tower and admire the panoramic view all around. On the ridge of the Moron we continue downhill towards Soboz. On the way you can always admire the variety of flowers. The pastures are still unoccupied and clearly arranged, so that I can let Indira run free. Even though there is no official linen obligation in the Kt. Bern, I keep mine on a leash in the forest. In the small idyllic village of Soboz there are several wells where you can refresh yourself. Afterwards we take the last 45min. to Sornetan (where we had parked the other car because of Easter. More than half of the hike leads through the forest. The path is wide and well passable. A beautiful hike which should be planned as a day hike. Since we started early, we had hardly met any people. Sufficient water should be taken along because there are hardly any water holes on the way.
