Claudia with Tim (from 25.07.19):

Long, beautiful hike. Until the Engisee hardly any people. From the Alpeli there is also the possibility to ascend north of the Übelbach to the Diestelstafel: less usual, scenery less beautiful, but shadow. Because it was a very hot day, Tim and I chose this variant. The ascent from Diesbach to Leglerhütte is partly very steep. There is of course the possibility to climb up and down from Mettmen (cable car). Not far from the Leglerhütte is the Milchspüelersee - a detour there is worthwhile! When descending to Mettmen, the Chärpfbrugg is a great natural spectacle. The whole route leads through the oldest hunting ban area in Switzerland - absolute linen obligation. Have fun on this beautiful hike!

A tip: It is best to leave the car at Schwanden station and take the train to Diesbach. North of the station the parking spaces are free of charge.
