Nathalie with Indira and Livia with Kaya (20.10.23):

The deep blue Oberblegisee is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Switzerland and exudes a lot of mysticism because of its unexplored outflow. Wild mountain streams and wonderful alpine flora frame this natural spectacle. This hike is particularly popular with families and for school trips, as it is ideal for picnicking, sunbathing and swimming.

The hike starts at Grotzenbüel (accessible via the Hüttenberg-Grotzenbüel gondola lift) and begins with a gently sloping path with a magnificent panorama to the Unterstafel of Alp Braunwald. A path that leads across meadows and through sparse forests ends in the valley of the Bösbächi. There you can enjoy local food in the cozy restaurant Bächibeizli. A beautiful mountain path then leads to the Oberblegisee.

Here you have to pause and let yourself be enchanted by the breathtaking scenery. The impressive Glärnisch massif echoes back loudly. From there, you will pass the central plateau of the Oberblegialp and descend to the mountain station of the Brunnenberg cable car. The cable car will take you to Luchsingen and from there you can take the train back to Linthal or head out of the valley directly towards home.- Source braunwald.ch

Good to know: In case of strongly pulling dogs, the tour is recommended in reverse form
