Sandra with Kaluori and Irwina (from 22.09.20):

I parked the car in Brugg near the train station.

With 2 extreme nose dogs I was glad to be able to leave the place soon and quickly dived into a beautiful forest. Quickly we reached the Habsburg, which is currently being renovated.

From here up to Wildegg there are some information boards about the Habsburgs.
On often narrow paths with 3 beautiful view points with a view of the Aare, we reached Wildegg. Unfortunately you are only allowed to go to the gates with your dog, but I think especially with children this part of my day trip is very exciting. Until here I saw at least 2 barbecue spots.

I enjoyed my cafe and cake on the forecourt before we went on the 2 part of the route: over the Chestenberggrat, direction Brunegg.

On the ridge there is also an information board about a Bronze Age hilltop settlement.

Brunegg Castle is privately owned, but there are also information boards.

In an arc we approached Birr, where we took the train back to Brugg.
There were also 2 barbecue sites on the 2 section. The track has a lot of shadow areas.

Like today (weekdays) I met only 2 school classes and 3 people on the way. But I think on the weekend there will be a lot of traffic on the first section. A bit of surefootedness and good footwear is necessary especially on the ridge part, and less recommended for dog owners who prefer a lot of free-running areas.

But especially with dog and children, who like to learn something on the way,  A very exciting tour.
