Capanna Rifugio Lavill: von Russign nach Lavill

This unmanaged hut has everything you need for a hiking weekend in Ticino (usually open from May to October).

The trail up to the hut is not very challenging and can be classified as "easy" relative to other SAC huts. Nevertheless, walking in alpine terrain requires good physical condition, serious preparation and technical knowledge of mountain sports.

From Russign, the ascent takes just under 3 hours and every single moment is to be enjoyed here, because sleeping in the Lavill hut will give you the feeling of having your own mountain hut.

The hut is unattended, but you have everything to cook, drink, shower with beds and tables. You only need to bring your own food, sleeping bag, toothbrush and personal belongings.

From the hut Lavill there are some beautiful walks, to the Cima del Simano (a mountain path), to the other unguarded hut Prou or the high mountain path in Valle Malvaglia.

This place is magical and is well worth a visit!
