Nathalie and Livia with Indira and Kaya (from 29.06.2023):
Start and finish is the valley station of the Golzerenbahn. Here we also park our car, then we start!
At the Acherli we cross the torrent "Chärstelenbach" already the first time. We enjoy the freshness of the brook with the shady sections in the forest on this hot summer day. First along the stream to the right and then to the left, we walk to the mountain inn Legni. For us it is still a bit too early, but here we already have the first opportunity to stop for a snack.
Slightly ascending the path leads us along the brook again over a bridge until we reach the alp Stössi. Here you should plan enough time. On the one hand, to taste the best alp cheese (and other fine products) directly on the spot, to stock up on provisions for home or, if you like, to use the spacious and well-equipped fireplace for your lunch break. All senses are satisfied here, the magnificent alpine flora offers enchanting color contrast to the glacier stream.
We take the same route again under our feet for a few meters before we cross the stream again and tackle the ascent to the Golzerensee. Here you must be surefooted and your dogs must not have any difficulties with climbing stairs. Fortunately, there are always resting benches to take in the fantastic mountain scenery. Once you have reached the top, you will see the picturesque Golzern-Bergsee (nature reserve), which invites swimmers to refresh themselves.
Ambitious people climb up here to the high mountain tours, but we simply enjoy the untouched natural paradise surrounded by fragrant mountain meadows.
A well-maintained path (partly tarred road) then leads us to the Golzern mountain station. From here we take the cable car Golzern and return comfortably to our starting point.
Good to know: The stretch Golzern mountain station - Golzernsee is also easily doable with strollers or wheelchairs and worth a wonderful excursion!
