This weekend we were in Crans-Montana. My husband Adrian and my brother Claudio wanted to go downhill again. Because there are some great hikes in Crans-Montana I was there right away. Because it was pouring cats and dogs on Sundays, we decided to take a smaller route than planned. But this hike could be extended, either by train to Cry d'Er or any other variation.
We parked in the parking lot by the cable car in Crans. We got off at the middle station of Merbé and made our way down with a detour in Corbire. The panorama is simply wonderful, one has a great view. There is a small private lake, there you can refresh yourself a bit, but swimming is forbidden. It also has (depending on how it is fenced off) grazing cows and the downhill track crosses the path a few times. Everything is well fenced and marked.
