Nathalie with Indira (from 23.03.2016):
There's plenty of parking at Noiraigue. There are restaurants on both sides and at the top of the plain further back. But with the view and the beautiful landscape, I prefer a picnic. The brave ones walk along the "inner edge" of the cauldron (separated by a stone wall with recesses where you can have a picnic at any time). I walked along the outside with my fur nose and had it on a leash for safety reasons. In between we ventured back to the slope. It is advisable to take walking sticks with you, because the descent can be quite painful.
Update 04.08.19: during the alpine season there is a dog ban due to the mother-cow attitude at the mats (access from the restaurant le Soliat).
