Forstseeli circular hike

From the parking lot at the church of the hamlet Eggerstanden we start in eastern direction. After 600 meters we turn right. We follow the signpost that leads up to the Alpen Bildstein. The path leads through forest and pastures, past the Alps to the dreamy Forstseeli. This beautiful place invites you to rest and the fireplace for barbecue. The trail continues up the forest to the alpine pastures on the northern slope of the Fähnern. Slightly descending we reach the Gasthaus Eggli via Alp Heieren. There you can enjoy the unique view of the three mountain ranges of the Alpstein in the garden restaurant. From the Eggli, we take the same path for a short distance, about 200 metres back to the turnoff down to Eggerstanden. On the northern slope, the descent path leads back to the starting point.
