To reach the Gräppelensee in just one hour, we recommend the paid parking lot "Laui". This place alone, located directly on the Säntisthur, invites you to linger now, when it is still quiet and nature is just awakening from its winter sleep. The path to the Gräppelensee is paved and winds its way up to the lake, alternating with sections of forest and climbing 250 meters in altitude. In spring there are plenty of opportunities to cool off, but be aware that many sections are exposed to direct sunlight.
Once you reach the lake, you should definitely plan enough time (barbecue area) to enjoy the peace and quiet (at the moment ;-)) and relax.
During the summering months, a sign at the parking lot indicates the presence of guard dogs. It is best to always check in advance where they are in use. Guarded pastures may not be crossed with dogs.
