Nathalie with Indira (from 07.05.19):
You can park at the Hasle-Rüegsau station and follow the signposts to Schallenberg. With a slight incline, the route leads over the Otzenberg, Schallenberg, Mannenberg to the Rachisberg, where, on a clear day, you can see as far as the beautiful chain of the Alps. From there the route goes downhill towards Oberburg. A short stretch leads over a pasture. Back the path runs along the beautiful Emme river, again to Hasle-Rüegsau. The route over the Emmental hills is varied, the views fantastic and the Emme offers cosy places to stay. I recommend to walk the route in spring, autumn or in summer in the morning, because much of the way is in the sun and some is on asphalt.
