Hohtenn - Ausserberg

On the south side of the Valais you enjoy a lot of sun, so you should start early. At the beginning the way is a bit adventurous and you should be free from giddiness. It goes over grid bridges and a grid staircase, which is not for every dog. On the way there is a small "Beizli" where you can also use the toilet. Afterwards the way is very pleasant and easy - a large part of it along the irrigation channels, the dogs have enjoyed it. In Ausserberg at the station there is also a restaurant to recharge your batteries. There are always nice picnic spots.

Watch this: The south ramp often has processional mothers in the early spring. This is still famous for it here in Valais. Therefore later spring or autumn is perfect for the hike.
