Iseltwald-Giessbach

At the entrance Iseltwald there is a public parking lot. From here you walk down to the lake - the view of the lake of Brienz is already breathtaking.

Afterwards you follow the path along the shore for 1.5 hours which is shady in the morning. On the way there is a large barbecue area with several fireplaces beautifully situated in the forest.

The hike or rather walk is conditionally as well as technically undemanding and can therefore also be done by older people or small children (prams are rather difficult on 2 short passages). On the way there are always places where the dogs can splash and swim in the lake.

After a short ascent, the Giessbach Falls, which thunderously make their way towards Lake Brienz, offer the crowning glory. The imposing Grand Hotel Giessbach is also located here and provides the desired catering.

The return journey is by boat from the Giessbach stop to Iseltwald.
