Nathalie with Indira (from 29.06.2022):

After 2 years we finally made the whole loop hike. ( Route only to Lac Lioson is listed here on the page )

This time I parked a little further up at the parking lot Lioson d'en Bas. Here also starts the route (r. rum ) to Pic Chaussy. A popular summit with the Vaudois. The path starts already at the beginning quite steep, but not dangerous. Passing small mountain streams and the Buvette des Petits Lac which lives up to its name. If you want, you can stop here and try the various homemade lemonades. Since dog, cat and Co are at home here, we continue our hike, further to the Pic Chaussy. Again and again I look at the biodiversity of the beautiful flowers and let the view work on me. At the top, we take our lunch break and enjoy the 360 - degree panoramic view. The ascent is worth it. Sun and clouds alternate, but the temperatures are perfect for hiking. After a longer break, we make our way back along the same path and then turn right towards Lac Lioson. Already from far above, one sees on the picturesque mountain lake, which shows itself in the sunshine in the beautiful emerald green. Here we take another break, because the lake invites you to stay and swim (Attention: On weekends / vacations a popular destination). Here, too, there is the possibility to stop and spend the night (whether dogs are allowed, would have to be clarified). We linger for a while at the lake and then get back on the road. From the lake it goes on a wide natural path down to the parking lot. ( ATTENTION: It can happen that there are cows / sheep on the alpine pastures. In these areas dogs are to be kept on a leash ). We had encountered on this day, late June, on this route nothing.
