Reto and Tanja with Kesh (from 24.05.20):

We start at the valley station of the Weissenstein. Up to here you can reach us by train or by bus. At the beginning we have to gain a few height meters through the forest to the dinosaur tracks. Afterwards we go down again slightly through the forest above Lommiswil. At the end of Lommiswil we come to the edge of the forest and enjoy a beautiful view over the midlands to the Alps. There is also a bench to rest on. Afterwards we walk a short distance through the green forest to a great barbecue place. After the barbecue we come back to the edge of the forest above Selzach, here too we have a wonderful view over the midlands with the Aare to the Alps. Here we have a few benches to enjoy the view. At the Forsthof we make a detour up to the new forest pond. Afterwards we return to the forest edge path to the Brügglibach. In midsummer the Brügglibach usually has no more water, but at the moment it does and Kesh can take a bath. There is also a cache hidden here in honour of Kesh. Now we go down beside the Brüggli creek to the edge of the forest. Here there is a nice barbecue area with a view of the Jura and an organic farm with its woolly pigs. The path continues between fenced in cow pastures. Afterwards we cross a nature reserve with benches to rest and there is also a cache of us. At the end of the snake fountain path we follow the Haagbach, which actually always has water. In the valley there is the Erlimoos pond, which is inhabited by beavers. Here we walk towards Bettlach until we reach the village square. From here there is a bus to Bettlach or Grenchen railway station.

In the forest, linen is compulsory in the canton of Solothurn from 1 April to 31 July.
