Rellerli-Mittelberg-Grubenberghütte-Schönried

The summery temperatures at the beginning of May made us very happy on a high alpine tour. Well-intentioned and only with little snow expected we have made ourselves good mood on the tour. Already in the Rellerli-Bähnli from Schönried we enjoyed the wonderful view. At the mountain station we were surprised by the first snow field, which did not stop us from continuing the hike. Over the Rellerligrat / Plani we reached the Mittleri Schneit. But then we had to turn back, because the hiking trail was no longer recognizable through the snow cover. But this was also the perfect opportunity to unpack our fondue backpack and enjoy the delicious fondue at 1750 m.a.s.l. The same trail led us back to the ridge and then we took the descent to Schönried. This was great fun for us as well as for the four-legged friends. In winter, the ski run to Schönried is also here and the wide snow fields were pure pleasure.

In summer (or when there is no more snow) the hike from the Rellerli top station via Hinderi Schneit, Mittelberg to the Grubenberghütte (1840m.a.s.l.) takes about two hours. On the way back to Saanen or Schönried it takes about four and a half to five hours.
