DAY ONE:

Start was at 9.00 am at Rueun station (Attention: only 4 parking spaces!).

Our first destination was the Ruina Munt Sogn Gieri, one of the oldest castles in the area (incl. barbecue areas).

For us we continued via Waltensburg (where we supported the local shop) to the ruin Kropfenstein. Here we split up for the visit before the descent. On the one hand because it is a very narrow path and on the other hand because the space down there is limited.

This ruin is a 3-storey building vertically descending at the Fellswand.

Afterwards on to the last part of the stage in direction Lag da Pigniu, because we have only on day 2 on the plan.

For the Biwack overnight stay we have rented the barbecue area Plaun Asch (registration with the municipality of Brigels).

After the joint barbecue 2 of our fellow travellers and thus also 2 of my dogs (Azurit and Janto) said goodbye.

DAY 2:

The awakening with birdsong and the sound of water is simply wonderful again!

A short rain shower followed in the morning. Nevertheless we decided to take the circuit around the reservoir. We left the tents standing, which was the best decision in terms of time.

Because hardly had we enjoyed the left side (narrow path), more and more hikers came towards us.

ATTENTION: On the right side there may be sheep with guard dogs. But we have not encountered them.

After about 9 km we arrived back at our tents. Cleaning up was announced and then our group became very small.

2 runners plus 3 dogs took then still the descent to the starting point under the feet.

A super nice weekend! If we had opened a wine at every barbecue place on the way. Wow, we would have had to carry a lot :-))).
