Vättis dam up to St. Martin in the Calfeisen valley

We drove to Vättis, past the Volg, to the dam (direction St.Martin). Here we also parked our car and walked along the dam towards St. Martin.

I prefer this hike especially after the season, because there are no cars on the road (from about October until the beginning of November). As soon as there is snow the valley is closed - danger of avalanches!

In summer (open from the beginning of May) at full hours up to xx.20 to St. Martin and return from half hour to xx.50 by car possible. But then during the week, because on weekends this place is very busy.

GENERAL CAUTION: on this route there is danger of falling rocks and there is a lot of game on the way (be careful).
