Pond of Gruyère

We parked at the parking place at the road, at the nearby lake Etang de la Gruère, where our route starts immediately. The path leads along the beautiful moorland lake, which alone would invite you to stay (according to 2017, only the locals are allowed to swim in the lake, but the current state of affairs needs to be clarified). After the lake, the trail alternates between hard surfaces and open, large pastures where cows and horses do not disturb the grazing. The comfortable, rather flat route leads past the "Foundation for the Horse" in Le Roselet, which would also invite you for a coffee, but since it's the weekend, it is of course well frequented and so we decide to continue. The path leads towards les Breuleux and through the village. There would be possibilities to stop here as well. From Les Breuleux back to the lake, the path leads again over large pastures which are partly occupied. The cows and horses are not interested in us here either, so we can continue our way unhindered. On the whole route there are always comfortable places to stay. The beautiful round walk, could certainly be done at any time of the year. Those who do not want to walk so long can also just take a wonderful walk around the beautiful lake.
