Chantal and Nadine with Peggy Sue and Nemesis (from 28.07.18):

Start and finish of this hike is the Wägerhus on the Flüela Pass, we get there by car. There is also the possibility to take the Postauto 331 - please note the timetable. The path towards the Jöriseen leads over pastures and scree up the slope. Again and again we cross small brooks which can also be used as drinking places for the dogs.

Up to the Winterlücke (2787m), along the Jörigletscher, it is really steep. Here we have our first real rest and share the Cervelat with our dogs.

From there we go down, again along the glacier, with a view to the fantastic Jöriseen (2533m). Between the lakes the path goes flat for a while, with a beautiful view of the blue lakes and the mountains around us. Then we climb the Jöriflüelafurgga (2725m). A little bit we even have to hold on to the wire rope. But our sure-footed dogs mastered this very well, so we get another Cervelat on the second mountain. :).

Back to the Wägerhus the route leads us again over scree paths, pastures and streams, past whistling marmots and a contented herd of mother cows.

PS: Although bikers and hikers often share the paths throughout Graubünden, we didn't encounter any.

Supplementary, Martin Krumm from 20.08.21 with Pablo (small terrier mongrel):

"I made the tour from Wägerhuss - Jöriseen - Jöriflüelafurgga today with Pablo (small terrier mongrel). Said place up to the Jöriflüelafurgga with rope along the rock I found very, very risky for the dog. Danger of falling on totally slippery and sloping rock (wet) included. I would secure my dog with a harness at such a place next time. With big dogs you should leave this route right away."
