Livia with Kaya (from 21.04.19):

The information from the flower phone told us that today was the perfect day to contemplate the cherry full blossom. Although there are officially three hikes for this, we decided on our own route, because we love not to run with the stream of tourists.

Parked in the centre, the route took us through the old town past the market square (every Saturday until 12.00 noon). We couldn't stop and already headed for the lake to enjoy this beautiful scenery.

We continued along the road for a few more meters, but soon the left turn, which led us through a wild and romantic Täli, reached the Meisenberg. Here Kaya was able to cool down and refresh herself before we took a wide road with a wonderful view of the flowers and Lake Zug to the Oberwil train station. Various farm shops invite you to take a break and enjoy homemade food directly from the farm. At the station down below, between the ferry and the open-air swimming pool, there is the possibility for the dogs to refresh themselves again. Kaya enjoyed this cooling off with a few laps of swimming.

From here it is important to mention that in summer, when the temperatures are hot, you should take the boat or the train. The route to Zug is on a wide tarred road (watch out for paws!).

Today it was quite warm, but the ground could not heat up yet. So we walked the way to Zug on the footpath. My eyes (and nose) couldn't get enough of this blaze of colour with its wonderful flower scent. Again and again I had to stop and just enjoy.

In Zug we strolled again through the alleys of the old town before we enjoyed the well-deserved ice cream at the lake.

An easy hike, which is a blessing for all senses.
