Danielle with Marinette and Biora, (from 24.06.2018):

Today we start our last stage from Ins to Murten.
Our path leads across the Grosse Moos, the vegetable garden of Switzerland. It is 08.00h in the morning and we enjoy the peace and quiet, because today we are again facing dream weather, which means that soon we will no longer be on our own. After a leisurely walk through a beautiful forest, where we also have the possibility to barbecue, the path ends suddenly and we are standing directly in front of the Broye Canal. What a beautiful sight! On the left hand side you can see the Rotary Bridge which was built for bikes and hikers for Expo.02, the 6th Swiss National Exhibition. Our way leads exactly over this bridge but in the immediate vicinity is the Camping les 3 Lacs and there we have a short Kafi break. The restaurant is located directly at the Broye Canal and the view is simply priceless. After a nice Kafi and croissants we continue our walk but before we leave the camping we stroll comfortably over the camping site. Rarely have we seen such a beautiful and well-kept facility. Quickly and effortlessly we reach the pretty fishing village Muntelier/Montilier along the lake shore and the little town of Murten right next to it. After crossing the bridge we are in the canton of Fribourg. We turn sharp left and follow the Broye Canal to Sugiez with its remarkable old farm and wine growing houses. On the following path through riverside woodland there are signs with "wild boar" logos. They encourage you to think and observe. We are in the middle of the nature reserve and therefore have to keep the dog on a leash. Now the late risers have also been woken up and you meet more and more people along the beautiful lake promenade which leads us the last part of the walk from Muntelier to Murten. Biora can always cool off in Lake Murten and she obviously enjoys it. The lake mat in Murten is very popular and as a result you will meet many tourists. We treat ourselves to a tasty ice cream before we stroll through the small town of Murten and take the train back to Ins.
