Stans - Schwyz

Sandra with Irwina and Leata Van den Worm with Sämy and Dichali (from 17.06.18):

I parked the car in Schwyz and took the public transport with my Irwina via Lucerne to Stans. There Leata Van den Worm with Sämy and Dichali was waiting for me. With some quiet ups and downs to Buochs and Beckenried we made good progress. Except for a few stairs, this section was easy. But as expected hardly any shade and lots of
hard surface. Since we knew that after Beckenried our biggest ascent was coming, we took a break. Yes, and that was just as well, because the last steps of the ascent seemed to be higher and higher. But here we finally had natural ground under our shoes/paws and also shadow areas. The effort was rewarded with a wonderful view and an increasingly better view of Lake Lucerne.

We stopped in Emmetten again before I continued with Irwina. Here the most exciting part of this tour awaited us. For a short while on hard surface and then on narrow paths with a slight gradient, with lots of shade towards Treib. Irwina and I enjoyed this so much that we didn't care that we missed our boat directly. After all, it sails every hour. So we strengthened ourselves again at the jetty before we went on the 5 minute crossing to Brunnen.

Was it the slowly arriving tiredness or the sun, which now unfortunately came out of the not so cloudy sky......Somehow Schwyz came towards us only slowly. Fortunately there were several great opportunities for Irwina to cool down.

At 6.12 we started our round trip by train
At 17.00 we 2 were back at the car
