Nadine with Lilly (from 28.05.2018):

This morning at 9.00 a.m. we started our hike in warm temperatures from Willisau station to Huttwil. The journey is possible by car or train. Parking spaces are located directly at the station. At the beginning of the hike we crossed the historic old town of Willisau. The trail continued through the Willisau deer park. From there we walked through woods and meadows. Even with warmer temperatures it is very pleasant in the forest. The meadows were still wet in the morning. Waterproof shoes are recommended. Otherwise the paths are well developed and easy to walk. After about 2/3 of the route you walk through the village Ufhusen. In the village shop maxi is the only possibility to buy drinks and snacks. Otherwise the route does not pass any restaurant. You should bring water for your dog, as the hike does not pass any water points. From Ulfhusen the hike continues for about 1.5 hours to Huttwil. The route runs through the forest and over asphalt road and through quarters.

In summary, it can be said that it is an easy hike, but you need to be in good physical shape, as it takes a good 4 hours. The paths mostly lead through woods and meadows. There are clearly arranged sections where you can let your dog run free. Some sections are on asphalt and lead along the road. Unfortunately, one does not meet any restaurants and no waters / water places for the dog.
