A unique short trip with a dog
Who doesn't dream of escaping the stress of everyday life and finding peace and quiet in charming accommodation? Nomady is just the thing for anyone who doesn't fancy standard hotels but is looking for an experience surrounded by nature. With its concept of offering pitches or tiny houses close to nature, often on idyllic farms, Nomady not only appeals to those seeking nature and relaxation, but also to dog owners like us.

Our adventure begins: Holiday home Panoramablick Alpstein
On a sunny fall afternoon in November, we set off for picturesque Thurgau. Our destination: a farmhouse high above Frauenfeld, which will serve as our home for one night. As soon as we arrive, we sense the warm atmosphere. The hosts greet us warmly and give us a brief introduction: the kitchen and bathroom are located in the main building and are fully equipped for guests to use. However, the real highlight awaits us just a few steps further on.
Our cottage for the night is about 100 meters above the farm. As we walk there, we immediately realize that this is paradise - not only for us, but also for our dogs. A spacious, securely fenced property invites them to run and romp freely. Right in front of the cottage we find a cozy seating area with a table and a large fire bowl. Perfect for ending the evening outside.
Small, but with charm - our little house. The cottage itself is compact and lovingly furnished: Two rooms - a living area with armchairs, table and fireplace, and a bedroom with a cozy double bed. But the real luxury is outside: the view. The view stretches far across Thurgau to the majestic mountains of the Alpstein, with the Säntis as the crowning glory in the background. This backdrop is breathtaking and invites you to simply stop and enjoy.
While the dogs curiously explore the garden, we let the peace and quiet and the view take effect on us. The stress of everyday life seems infinitely far away at this moment.
Pure nature: walks and quiet moments. After settling in, we go for a short hike in the surrounding area. The paths lead us past vast cow pastures, and the typical cowbells lend the landscape its very special charm. When the cows are driven back into the stables in the evening, our dogs watch the action with curiosity - an encounter that remains relaxed for everyone.
Back in the cottage, we enjoy the warming flames of the fireplace. There's no TV here, no superfluous entertainment - just the silence, nature and the crackling of the fire. When do you take the time in everyday life to just sit and let your mind wander? This simplicity is what makes a stay at Nomady so special.
A frosty morning full of magic.
The temperatures drop significantly during the night, but we sleep snuggled up warmly and wake up refreshed with the first light of day. Through the fogged-up window, we can see that the garden is covered in a thin layer of hoarfrost. The fog is still thick and the scenery is both calming and magical. Our dogs are unfazed by this - they romp around the garden while we treat ourselves to a hot cup of coffee.
One last walk takes us through the quiet autumn forest. The crackling leaves underfoot and the damp coolness of the air make the moment extra special.
Back at the cottage, we have one last leisurely breakfast before we pack our things with a heavy heart and set off.
Conclusion: Nomady - a retreat for body and soul.
Even though our stay was only short, it felt like an eternity. Nomady offers more than just accommodation - it offers the opportunity to completely focus on the essentials. No unnecessary luxury, no superfluous frills - just pure nature, warm hosts and accommodation that is perfectly tailored to the needs of people and dogs.
No need for long journeys - often the special things are so close
Nomady shows that less is often more: nature, tranquillity and small, simple pleasures are all you need to leave everyday life behind. For dog owners like us, it's a true paradise - here even with a spacious, secure property, open space and a relaxed atmosphere that makes both humans and animals happy.
