Feel at home in the middle of the Bernese Alps with a view of the Eiger massif, have various leisure activities right on your doorstep and the opportunity to socialize but also have time for yourself... all this is available in Hasliberg in the beautiful Reka vacation village!

Immediately after work, we set off in the direction of Hasliberg and on the outward journey we enjoy the hospitality of the Reka vacation village in Hasliberg for the first time. As the weekend traffic is already quite heavy and we are not sure whether we will arrive on time (reception is manned until 5 p.m.), we call to report a possible delay. That wouldn't be a problem at all, they would provide us with the tickets to the apartment in an envelope, we should definitely not hurry and drive safely. So we drive to Hasliberg, relieved and relaxed, and make it to the vacation village at exactly 16.55. We receive a very friendly welcome, especially our dogs. Each dog gets a Vitakraft snack box and we also receive a blanket for each dog, which we are allowed to use until our departure. After an extremely detailed and friendly briefing, we set about packing our luggage into the apartment. Practical trolleys are available for this purpose. Our first reaction to the apartment was an honest "wow". The apartments in the entire vacation village have been renovated over the last few years and it has definitely been a success! The design is very soft and beautiful with warm colors and matching pictures and lamps. We immediately felt at home in the apartment and are already looking forward to staying here until Sunday.

We had an apartment with two bedrooms, one of which had direct access to the balcony. This is around the corner and can also be reached from the living room. There is a sofa in the living room where you can enjoy spending time, the kitchen is extremely practical with plenty of storage space and you will find all the cooking utensils and crockery you need. The fridge is big enough to be filled for several days. Cooking here is a real pleasure and we will make the most of it over the next two days. The bathroom has a floor-level shower, plenty of storage space and the cleanliness of the whole apartment was impressive. We didn't see a speck of dust, no streaks, nothing. You just feel right at home!
After we have roughly settled in, we go to the village store, which is very close to the vacation village, as recommended at reception. We still need one or two things for dinner. For breakfast, we could book in advance to have breakfast in the community center or order bread rolls. We then make a short detour to the bathing lake, which is a 5-minute walk away. It's great for swimming and relaxing, and you could also eat there. Once the sun has set, however, we head back to our apartment. We wanted to make the most of the kitchen and round off the evening in comfort.

We are up early the next morning and on our first walk we marvel at the incredible view of the Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn and Lauteraarhorn. These mountains really impress me and getting up in the morning with this view is definitely very nice. Today is our first hike, so we fortify ourselves with a porridge before setting off. We can buy our train tickets at reception and as Reka guests we even get a 20% discount on them. After a brief chat about the planned hike and some more tips, we make our way to the gondola. Today's hike takes us via Käserstatt down into the Melchtal valley and then back up to the Gibel. We enjoy fantastic views of the mountain panorama on all sections of the route. All details about the hike can be found here. After a short refreshment stop at the Käserstatt mountain restaurant, we make our way back to the vacation village.
Once again, we receive a friendly welcome at reception and, after asking about the dog shower, we are accompanied straight there so that we can wash the dust off our dogs. On the way to our apartment, we see other guests at the communal barbecue and children on the newly renovated playground (incidentally, the vacation village also has a well-maintained indoor pool).

The atmosphere is very relaxed and laid-back. We enjoy a panaché on our beautiful balcony in the setting sun before heading back to the kitchen to cook. We end the evening on the cozy sofa and go to bed early with lots of wonderful memories.

Our morning starts early on Sunday too and we can watch the sunrise in the mountains. We have planned another short hike today, but as we have to check out by 10 a.m., we are already packing our things. There's a bit of melancholy, as we felt really comfortable in the apartment and the vacation village and were able to really relax. We use the kitchen one last time for our porridge before clearing out the final dishes. Once everything is out, we take one last look through the rooms. Yes, you can definitely have a good time here for longer! Checking out is uncomplicated and once again extremely courteous. We pack our dogs and already know that this won't be the last time we've been here. The Reka Holiday Village Hasliberg was just right for us and our dogs at the weekend: Feeling good, relaxing & enjoying, hiking and cooking - simply perfect!

We're going up to Käserstatt again today, this time on a circular hike via the Mägsalp, which you can find here.
This way we can really round off the weekend in Hasliberg and we will certainly remember these days for a long time to come.
Goodbye & thank you very much Reka Holiday Village Hasliberg!
