Blatten (1327m) - Egga - Belalp (2130m)

On foot, walk in the direction of Rischinen as far as the Tschuggen junction. There in the corner the snowshoe trail starts through the forest until you reach the bridge over the Bruchji stream. At the moment there is a lot of snow and the railing is snowed in, so to speak. The bridge is made of steel and stable built, so no problem. The trail continues with a great view to Rischinen/Blatten until the hamlet Egga. The part from Blatten to Egga takes about 1 hour. There you will find the Bergführerstübli which is normally open from 14.00. It invites you to stay and dogs are very welcome.

From here it takes about 40 minutes to reach the game observation post "Holzji". From there you continue in the direction of Belalp and again and again you have a great view of the big Aletsch glacier. Once at the top, one can enjoy a great view of the Aletschji and the big Aletsch Glacier from the Aletschbord. Until then, one is on the way for about 2.5 - 3 hours.

The way home is from the Hotel Belalp back to the Belalp cable cars. There you can either take the train to Blatten (runs every 30 minutes) or continue along the road to the gondolas and take the gondolas down (continuous operation as long as the ski facilities are open).

Please note game rest areas. Mex always runs free but never leaves the path in the snow.
