Crappa circular route: Tannenbodenalp-Tanzplatz-Sennästube-Tannenbodenalp

What a day: fresh powder snow and no skiing yet!

We use this chance before we go to our work. The LUFAG brings us from Unterterzen to the starting point Tannenbodenalp. There would be parking spaces here, but we enjoy the ride in the gondola.

The trail leads us from the valley station Maschgenkammbahn, direction Chrüz. First we have to cross the huge meeting point, but well signposted (pink posts) we see the easy ascent ahead of us. The path goes off to the left, along the forest. Enchanting and a dreamlike winter wonderland opens up to us. We are all alone on the way. The path leads us past the Schwammchopf to the wooden hut at the Tanzplatz. The benches invite us to linger and enjoy the sun with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. From here the path leads us through the picturesque Crappawald. Afterwards it goes slightly downhill and then flat through the Madils plateau, before we walk back towards the starting point Tannenboden. The small cable car brings us back to Unterterzen.

Freshly refuelled by nature (even if only briefly), we now set off for work.

For those who have a little more time, we recommend the winter hike to Seebenalp, with fantastic views of the Churfisten and Lake Walen:
