Seebodenalp glacier track

With the first ride of the cable car, it goes for me and Belina from Küssnacht am Rigi high to Seebodenalp. Right at the top station and the parking lots is the signpost Panoramarundweg and at the same time the beginning of the "Gletscherspur". As the name suggests, the trail leads past 15 remnants of the ice age. Signs inform about the events more than 24,000 years ago and their traces in nature.

Between mountain panorama and nature reserve we hike to Ruodisegg and enjoy the morning peace and the great view. Fireplaces, benches and comfortable loungers would be ideal to rest and have a snack. At Ruodisegg, a left turn leads to Hinteren Boden. From there we reach the only climb of the whole hike. The path leads through the protective forest upwards in the direction of Holderen. Afterwards we hike back to the Seebodenalp mountain station and reach it after 1.5 h hiking time. On the way there are several possibilities for refreshments in alpine inns.
