Weissenstein

Leisurely round tour on the Weissenstein followed by a sled ride down to the valley.

Parking is available in the Oberdorf right by the valley station. From here we take the gondola (dogs ride for free) and ride up to the Weissenstein. From the Restaurant Sennhaus the route (590) starts towards the west Hinterer Weissenstein, without a big climb over the high plateau. Attention the path is marked only in one direction. In good weather you have a wonderful panorama over the whole alpine chain. Arrived at the gondola station again, I decide to rent a toboggan (10 CHF) and to whiz with it down to the valley. The leisurely tour is also very suitable for children.
