Appenzeller Bahnen AG

The red trains of the Appenzeller Bahnen take you from Lake Constance to the Alpstein and connect the Murg Valley with the towns of Frauenfeld and Wil. The train ride through the rolling hills of the Appenzell region, with fantastic views of Lake Constance or the Alpstein, is an experience in itself. The train ride can be perfectly complemented by other exciting adventures along the route. Your four-legged friend is welcome on the trains and, of course, to join in on the adventures. • Adventure tour in the Appenzell Vorderland featuring two cogwheel railroads, the Witzweg trail, and a boat ride

• Open-air observation cars on the Rorschach–Heiden line during the summer months and when the weather is nice (in service daily)

• Open-air observation cars on the Altstätten–Gais line during the summer months and when the weather is nice (in service on Saturdays and Sundays)
