Nadine and Chantal with Nemesis, Nobu, Peggy Sue and Benni (from 14.10.2018):
We started our trip very early because the Chäserrugg is very popular on the sunny weekend days. At 8:30am we arrived at the parking lot directly in front of the funicular and were able to take the dogs with us right away. In the middle station Iltios we changed into a big cable car and drove up to the summit.
At the top we enjoyed a wonderful mountain panorama. Most impressive is the view down to the Walensee. This circular hike is very easy to do and offers a breathtaking view wherever you look. Again and again benches invite you to sit down and enjoy the panorama.
Back on the Chäserrugg we made a short side trip to the Hinterrugg. The summit can be reached over the stony ridge to the highest of all Churfirsten peaks. However, this hike is a little more demanding and you should be sure-footed.
Arriving over there we enjoyed an even more spectacular picture of the Walensee. The mountain dolphins literally flew over our heads and sailed in the wind.
Back at the station around 12:00h, we made our way down because there were too many people on the mountain.
But this was a wonderful trip that was definitely worth it!
