Livia with Ruth, Flora and Kaya (from 23.07.23):
We park our car in Elm, on the free parking lot of the Sportbahnen Elm, before we take the hourly bus to Obererbs.
In Obererbs you will see the fantastic mountain panorama which accompanies us during the whole trip: UNESCO World Heritage area with the Tschingelhörner and the Martinsloch, but also the Vorab and Hausstock.
Thanks to several streams on the way, cooling down is guaranteed for today and we bipeds use these breaks to let the magnificent mountain scenery have an effect on us.
Occasionally the path leads us through fabulous forests, where we gladly use the shady areas on this splendid Sunday.
Two very well equipped barbecue areas (with a beautiful panorama) are on the way, as well as two Robidogs.
Despite the really nice weather there were only a few fellow and counter runners. From time to time we were overtaken by bikers, but with a lot of friendliness and respect. Pastures had to be crossed, but the animals were fortunately also today further up on the pastures.
In the dog-friendly mountain hotel "Bischofalp" (two rooms are offered with dog) we treat ourselves to refreshments before heading home via Ämpächli (mountain station gondola/dogs ride free).
A wonderful excursion for every group!
Good to know from Rietmatt:
For families with children:
Important: The Freiberg Kärpf is a wild animal sanctuary. There is an absolute leash obligation here.
General regulation: In addition to the regulations of the breeding and sowing season, dogs are to be leashed in the forests and at the edge of the forest all year round in the canton of Glarus.
