On the Glögglifroschweg - a journey of discovery through Eich and the Eichwald forest

Livia with Kaya and Nathalie with Indira (from 15.04.25):

Our route today takes us to Eich, or more precisely to the Glögglifroschweg - a lovingly designed adventure trail for young and old, right in the heart of Central Switzerland. The perfect moment to escape from everyday life and immerse yourself in nature.

You'll notice it right from the start: A lot of heart and soul has been put into the work here. The Glöggli frog, a small symbolic figure, accompanies us along the entire route - sometimes hidden on signs, sometimes right by the wayside. In a playful and informative way, you learn exciting facts about the flora and fauna of the region - especially about frogs and other amphibians, of course.

The Glöggli frog (also known as the midwife toad) is highly endangered in Switzerland. In recent years, its population has almost halved due to drained waters, pesticides, fertilizers and diseases.

Following the refreshing and dreamy Glöggli frog trail, the path then leads us across gentle meadows, past small ponds - and finally into the oak forest. This idyllic section covers the path like a green canopy. The cool forest air makes the walk particularly relaxing.

Particularly beautiful: there are benches along the way to take a break and there are always little surprises along the way - lovely details that amaze children and adults alike.

The Glögglifroschweg is much more than just a walk - it is a lovingly staged invitation to experience nature with all your senses. Ideal for anyone who wants to take a deep breath and discover something new.

Good to know: the Glögglifroschweg can be extended and shortened as required.
