Klingenstock - Fronalpstock

Start of the hike is at the car park (fee required) "Standseilbahn Schwyz-Stoos".

We take the steepest funicular in the world to the Stoos. From there we either continue on foot to the Klingenstock (very strenuous hike about 3 hours) or take the chairlift up. We decided for the second. Dogs cost 5Fr.

Arrived on the Klingenstock, the ridge walk begins. It goes alternately up and down, you should be free from giddiness and sure-footed.

With various photo stops we needed about 2.5h. On the Fronalpstock you can stop for a bite to eat in the restaurant and then either take the chairlift down again or walk down on foot (approx. 1.5h).
