Nathalie and Roman with Indira (from 07.07./08.07.2023):
Breathtaking 2-day tour...When siblings are on the road.
We park in the public parking lot at the tennis court
( free of charge from April to Nov. ) and follow the signpost
"Simmenfälle". After a super refreshment at the mountain restaurant Siebenbrünnen, we get ready for the ascent to Flueseeli. Route up to Flueseeli is not explained in detail, because it is already listed here.
Overnight stay in the hut possible ( online reservation ) But because dogs have to stay in the shed, we set up our night camp on the other side of the lake and refresh ourselves in the cold lake.
While in the night in the Unterland end of the world prevails, we enjoy the peace with mild temperatures, some wind and clear sky. The way to the Rezligletschersee must be passed before noon (high water glacier stream). So we leave early in the morning. Also on this section there are 2-3 places where something must be climbed / or are secured with chains. Arrived at the top of the lake, we marvel at the fantastic views and imposing mountains. Here you realize how small and insignificant we actually are.
From then on the path follows through the rather barren but nevertheless beautiful high valley of the Tierberg ( ATTENTION: NATURE PROTECTION AREA DOGS ARE TO BE KEEP ON LEASH! ) Arrived at the top of the saddle we have reached the highest point of our route. Here we pause for a moment, look at the distance we have covered and let everything sink in again. Now it goes downhill still partly over small snow fields. Soon the picturesque Rawilseeleni are visible. The sun shows up again and it gets quite warm. Again we have a short refreshment and continue our steep descent past rocky slopes to Iffigenalp. Now we have another delicious meal before we take the bus back to the starting point (exit at the community center). The impressions are hard to describe and you have to experience it yourself. The route demands a lot, surefootedness is required and you should be free from giddiness. The tour from Siebenbrünnen is not suitable for beginners. It is recommended to take sticks with you.
