Linthal - Urnerboden

At pleasant temperatures we started another adventure. But quickly the sun warmed up the air to our regret. All the more we were thankful for the many shady areas on the ascent to Braunwald. This part of the route is, to our delight, completely cow-free. In Braunwald we strengthened ourselves before we started the more quiet part of the tour. Up to the mountain restaurant Nussbühl we continued comfortably on an even wider path. After that we went up and down on narrow paths.

How much we opened and closed willow fences from now on, I have no idea but we were lucky the whole distance further on that the cows were apparently already on the higher meadows. At some point the path branched off to go down into the valley. Unfortunately a short section of the road follows. (ca 15 min)

Gratefully we reached the turnoff from the road, which led us to the Fätschbach. First of all there was a bath for the four-legged friends.

We followed the stream comfortably to the end of this stage where we had another stop for a break.

In order to be independent of time, I recommend to park the car on the Urnerboden and take the public transport to the starting point.
