Splügen Surettaseen

We parked directly at the roundabout at the Splügen exit.

First you follow the Via Splüga until Isabrüggli. Since we started at 8.00 a.m., we had a lot of shadow. Many small creeks we crossed (so many that our carried water finally found its way back home). But after dry periods it is better to take it with you!

Short sections follow the pass road, on which there was not much traffic at this time. At the height of Alp Bodmastafel one could still supply oneself with drinks.
And if you want to avoid a few km and a few m, you could park at Isabrüggli (this is not a circuit).

There are several cow pastures to walk through. But also here we were lucky, because especially at the end of July and beginning of August the lower pastures are often not occupied.

So we only saw and heard cows at the last pasture. But since there were no cows on the whole way, they seem to be on the left.

So we reached the Surettasee where we allowed ourselves a longer break.

TIP: If you're lucky, the rowing boat is free and can be used by everyone. And if you still haven't had enough, you could still walk down to the Sufnersee from here.

After the break we started the descent. First we went back the same section and then we went over the Fugschwald towards Splügen.

A wonderful circuit which certainly requires a certain amount of fitness.

So I'll be back for sure!
