Sandra, Katja and Mathias with the dogs Luna Duschka Devil and Janto (from 20./21.09.19):

At 11.00 our tour started in Berschis (444).

Our first stopover was the Berschis waterfall. You have to earn this sight by climbing a steep slope.

As we all had a lot of luggage in our backpacks, we decided to take the mountain road to the Sennisalp. Not to take the direct hiking trail. But to follow the mountain road. It went up steadily. And so we reached Sennis (1399) around 13.15. Where we allowed ourselves a proper break.

Freshly fortified, we followed the signposting to Lüsis from there on. Shortly after Büchel there was a short descent over the Bruch. Which demanded a lot of concentration from us. With our huskies.

All the more we were happy that we continued from Verachta (1233) again more moderate. Via Tscherler Ahore we reached our destination for the day, the Lüsisalp (1272) at about 17.30.

The whole distance we had beautiful views of Lake Walen. And also on our final destination for the 2 day. The Chäserrugg. As always we had a super fine dinner. And thanks to the great weather we had a hammer sunset to admire.

Around 20.30 we went to sleep.

In the background the roaring of the deer always in the ear.

The next day we started the ascent to Nideri (1834). With a view back to Lüsis behind us. A Voralpsee, which was still hidden in the fog, on our right side. Yes, and to the left the view swung to our final destination, which seemed to us to be far away.

After a rest we unfortunately had to lose some of the height meters we had made. In this passage there are some places that can be overcome with the help of chains, but we hardly used them.

After 120 meters down we went on the last ascent. Slowly we encountered more and more 2 and 4 legs. And especially from the saddle (1945). Tired with many impressions we reached the Chäserrugg. With a good 2000 meters altitude difference in our legs.

Great tour for sure-footed 2 and 4 legged riders, very varied landscape.

Best organized by public transport or private driver. In agreement with the Lüsisalp there is the possibility to bivouac.
