Melchsee - Frutt

Our starting point was the Frutt-Dörfli. We went up by car, which is cheaper than taking the gondeli. However, it is worth to consider this before, because one-way traffic is. First we walked along the deep blue Melchsee. Then we climbed up to Balmeregghoren. The mountain panorama and the magnificent view compensate for the sweaty ascent. We take a break and enjoy the view from Planplatten to Engstlenalp. Afterwards we hike further along the ridge and the cantonal border until after the Ärzegg. Now we go down to the Tannensee. The colours of autumn along the lake with its pretty islands are wonderful. At the end of the lake we walk over the dam and then along the path under the Bonistock. Here there are many climbing enthusiasts on the rock faces. Down at the Dörfli we take the panorama lift and stop at the Melchsee-Frutt Lodge and Spa. It is very dog-friendly also for overnight stays and even has a dog shower. With the beautiful view of the Melchsee we enjoy a fine snack at the end of our tour.

More tips: In mid-October there were no more grazing cows, but over the summer months, it has determined Robidog has it in the Dörfli and at the two lakes.
