Bathing place St. Alban - Rheinweg

When temperatures are high in Basel, it is not only people who like to take a bath in the cool water. Many a dog also loves to swim. Since spring 2013 there are two bathing areas on the banks of the Rhine in Basel, which invite dogs and their owners to cool off.

On the St. Alban-Rheinweg and at the Tinguely Museum there are two dog bathing areas where dogs can move freely without a leash and use the Rhine to cool off and swim. The two bathing zones are intended to meet the needs of dogs from both districts and to minimise potential conflicts with visitors to the Rhine without a dog due to the somewhat remote location of the bathing resorts.

The dog bathing areas are not exclusively reserved for dogs and dog owners; please show consideration for all other users on land and water and please respect the adjacent dog ban and leashing zones. The use is at your own risk.
